Go Into the Deep Sea! The First Dual-Mode High-Speed Wind Power Operation and Maintenance Ship in China went to Sea Smoothly
On February 23, the first domestic 30-meter-class CAT-SWATH dual-mode high-speed wind power operation and maintenance ship set sail for the first time in Rudong, Jiangsu Province. This operation and maintenance ship has improved the traditional catamaran's poor seaworthiness and low sailing rate under complex sea conditions. The MJP 650 DD DRB jet pump adopted has achieved a new breakthrough in speed and berthing capacity, marking an important step towards personalized and high-quality development of China's offshore wind power operation and maintenance industry.
MJP DRB mixed-flow high-efficiency pump design, with high-efficiency internal performance, adopts two-way stainless-steel structure, designed for efficient application of ship navigation, and maximizes efficiency in different speed ranges. At the same time, the superior high-speed performance of the pump allows to optimize the water inlet at a lower speed, so as to achieve the best performance within the entire speed range without affecting the performance of the highest speed.
The operation and maintenance ship has a total length of 32.4 meters, a moulded width of 11.6 meters and a displacement of about 200 tons——
In the catamaran (CAT) mode, the estimated maximum speed of the ship is 23 knots, while the actual maximum speed can reach 25 knots, which is more than 1.5 times the speed of the current domestic ordinary operation and maintenance ship;
When the ship leans against the wind turbine in SWATH mode, the vertical drop of 2-3 meters of conventional ship type can be reduced to about 1 meter, and its excellent berthing ability can reduce the risk of falling overboard and squeezing when the offshore wind power operation and maintenance personnel boarded.
As the most important transportation equipment for the operation and maintenance of offshore wind power, the operation and maintenance ship undertakes the tasks of transportation, storage, emergency rescue, etc. Its reasonable allocation is a prerequisite for high-quality operation and maintenance of offshore wind power, and its operation and maintenance capacity is one of the decisive factors for the cost-effectiveness ratio of offshore wind power. In recent years, with the increasing offshore distance of China's newly built offshore wind farms and the increasingly complex sea conditions, ordinary operation and maintenance ships have gradually been unable to meet the special requirements of large waves, long distance and changeable climate. In view of the above situation, the ship fully considered safety, comfort and economy in the design process, and adopted MJP two-way mixed-flow pump to successfully solve the problems of the R&D and design, weight and center of gravity control, dual-mode control system and other problems of the new ship type with two working conditions, and formed a number of specialized technologies, which accumulated rich experience for the subsequent research and development of similar ship types.
It is understood that in Asia, North America and Europe, the offshore wind power market is booming, making the demand for professional operation and maintenance ships more prominent. The ship is an operation and maintenance ship invested and built by the Three Gorges Energy Offshore Wind Power Operation and Maintenance Jiangsu Co., Ltd., affiliated to the Three Gorges Group, with independent intellectual property rights. Some performance indicators, such as power system, top berthing performance, seakeeping performance and fuel economy performance, have reached the advanced standards of developed countries. Its successful sailing will help to complete more exploration and optimization of offshore wind power operations, and help China's offshore wind power operation and maintenance industry to find out measures applicable to local wind power operation and maintenance, and provide valuable experience for the operation and maintenance of far-reaching offshore wind farms.
